Taking A {Little?} Break

I didn't have anything to post about this past Monday, and that was okay I thought. I had an idea for Wednesday. But when it came time to work on that idea I had zero enthusiasm for it. Heck, as the quote below describes, I barely had the "get up and go" to brush my teeth.

And so it was with relief I stumbled across this on Pinterest yesterday, it validated my recent state of affairs. Oh okay, this is normal, and it's all just fine. Change is nothing if not unpredictable. I'll post if I have something I feel passionate about sharing, and if I don't, it'll be kind of quiet around here. Take care, you all are the best!

  1. I can totally relate. That is exactly how I felt last fall. New empty nester, no longer on way to many committees, no one pulling me in different directions. It felt odd. But, over time I got back into a routine. A different one, but a routine nonetheless. And, there are still some days when I wake up and wonder, "hmm, what should I do today?" But, it's all good.

  2. Honestly I don't know how most bloggers do it. I can't imagine having to talk about something new every day. All the planning that must go into it makes my head spin.

  6. I can totally relate. With my life taking a change, me working full time after 18 years at home and my husband laid-off, sometimes I am not feeling it in writing a post!

  9. Once again...on the exact same page as you Janell! I only posted once last week, sat down to write a couple more and just was not "feeling it" as they say. Enjoy this time and the ability to really live in the moment! Sure wish we could meet for coffee or lunch with all of our non-posting free time! :)

  10. I have tons of ideas in my head, or on lists, but the idea of sitting down to research or write about them, take photos, etc. doesn't jazz me sometimes. I don't get an opportunity to read my favorite blogs very often, so when I do, I'm happy if there are just a few posts I need to catch up on. I've never understood the whole post every day thing, unless it's something agreed upon with advertisers. It's a lot of work! I'm with you ... when I'm inspired, I'll post, but otherwise, I'm living life!

  11. This is good Janell. Im experiencing the same having just made a huge change in selling my previous business. It is just plain weird, that's all I can say. Thinking of you and hoping you feel good about yourself and what youre doing. Take all the time you need, we'll still be here!

  18. I totally get it. I am going through something similar right now and have been feeling so guilty about it. We don't have any major or minor projects going on right now, don't want to do something just to be able to blog about it. I get it. You've made me feel better.

  21. Change is hard. Larger changes are much harder and it is difficult to adjust, especially when the results of the change are unknown. This may be a cliché but if I have said it once, I have said it a million times, everyone needs a rest from time to time.

  22. Change is notable as the only constant thing in this world. We are the decision makers of whether or not we accept the natural changes in our life. There are changes that are easy to accept, but there also those that need enough time and realization. What matters most is how we may be able to accept such changes in our life.
