By the time you read this we should have arrived in Paris! The last time I was here was with my husband for our honeymoon, nearly 14 years ago. We are so excited to be returning, this time with our children. Last year the kid's spring break was a bit of a bust; it came and went with no special effort on my part to make the most of their time off and everyone was a little disappointed. ("Little" doesn't begin to describe Max's take on the break, he was very disappointed and very focal about it all!) I swore then that for the remaining years the kids are in school and at home we'd aim to plan a trip to show them more of the world than the little corner we live in. So we saved up, here we are and are already tossing around possible locales for next year, both near and far.
We have a long and fun list of activities planned, I'm hoping to spy and photograph doors similar to the ones featured in a color essay in the last issue of House of Fifty and will post as often as I have time and something to share!
It's supposed to be chilly for March, but we won't let that stop us from having a great time!
