Pumpkin Fun & Painting

This past weekend was glorious in the Northwest,
perfect weather to visit a farm and pick out our pumpkins!

We grabbed a wheel barrel and started filling it,
the bigger ones to carve closer to Halloween and the smaller ones to paint, below.

A year ago this would not have been the scene:
Pumpkin inspiration from Pinterest on the computer screen at one end of the kitchen island?!?
But is there a better place to get ideas?

Though I did think up using Rub 'n Buff all on my own...

We actually didn't get a lot painted!
I guess we spent too much of the day enjoying the various activities at the farm...

...but I like the mix of a few painted and the others left as they are.

How are you celebrating the arrival of fall?

I plan to add some pumpkins to my home this year. It will definitely be a first! And I think anyone that has used rub n buff has thought of doing that! Why not?!

Laptop still down, but I caved and just got an iPad. I had to!!

They look darling. We are headed to the pumpkin patch next week. If only the fall weather would make it's way here!

What a great assortment Janell. Love the gold one. The pumpkin patch is on our list of "fun" things to do this weekend. They serve hot spiced cider as we sip and walk around and choose our pumpkins.

Pinterest is definitely a blessing and a curse sometimes! I have been painting pumpkins white...going with the neutral color scheme for fall this year. May have to add some Zebra stripes to a couple...your black & white one is too cute!

I've just been writing about pink pumpkins for tomorrow's post on my blog. I really like how everyone is customizing their pumpkins to match their decor. And yes, Pinterest is my new source for crafty inspiration too!

Love the gold rub n buff pumpkins and I agree the mix of natural and painted works well together. :)
