Talk About Motivation!

This past summer I skipped out on my Pilate classes -
it just made the schedule easier to manage with the kids at home.

 But I'm back, and motivated!

Why? Look what's coming to my neighborhood:

We are all so excited, a new pool, community center...

 ...and expansive park beyond!

It's going to be so much fun to finally be able to hit the pool in virtually our own back yard.
Thus, one of the motivations behind not skipping any more exercise sessions!

What motivates you to keep moving?

It's so hard! I crossfit 4 days a weeks and what motivates me is going good I feel each time I leave there. Mind you I hate every minute of the workouts! Ha!

Oh, how wonderful! You've always talked about how much you love your neighborhood, and now you'll have even more reason to love it. And it's better that it's only "virtually" in your own backyard because you won't have to maintain it! Yeah!

I have pool envy. Good luck with the pilates.

I find it hard to work out in the summer with the kids home so I usually start hitting the gym in the fall. I also have to have a perfectly clean house or I can't get to the gym. I know it's weird!

What a wonderful neighborhood you live in! I can see why you don't want to leave for a good long time!

Looks very nice....however, I don't even want to think about the extra cost the HOA will slap yall with!

Oh, it will be so so nice. We have one we walk to and it's wonderfully easy with the kiddos {and no maintenance for us}. The warmer temps that last for months here definitely keep me motivated. It's swimsuit and shorts season here so much {motivation to keep me boxing!}.

Ha, regarding HOA Fees, luckily...or unfortunately depending on how you look at it - the number of homes in the hood is increasing as fast as that pool is going up so costs will be spread around! The good things in life often comes with a price tag attached! :)

Oh yes, what a wonderful addition to your neighborhood! I think what keeps me motivated is knowing that I am doing "good" for my body and taking care of it. As I get older it seems even more important to do so. Some days I just have to force myself but always feel refreshed afterwards!

We have a pool in our own backyard that rarely gets used anymore. We are more often at our lake cabin, boating and wake surfing. Hanging out with teenagers on a boat is definitely motivation! Strangely, I seem to work out more regularly during the winter months - while I am all covered up in jeans and sweaters, and slack off in the summer during bathing suit season!?! Makes no sense!

I love Pilates but have not found a decent place to go since moving back to Canada. Now that I am teaching full time I would like to find something to unwind!

A pool and community center? That is awesome!

That's wonderful - somewhere convenient for exercise is a big part of making it happen.
I just discovered Zumba and absolutely love it... truly the most fun I've ever had in an exercise class!
