The Work of Susan Brown

"I started painting full-time in 1994. Much of my inspiration came from interior decor, and my early work involved painting old furniture and creating garden murals.

After many years I ventured into creating paintings for hanging on the wall. I was a little nervous since I had no formal training and didn't know if I could successfully make the transition. I continue to paint, lots and lot of paintings. Flowers, women, abstract, representational...I pretty much want to paint everything. I love all forms of art and would love to create in every medium. Alas, like most people I'm limited on time.

I stay in my pajamas or long stretches of time. Then I try to put on my jeans on find I've gained 5 pounds. I hate when that happens. Those darn brownies..."
