I really miss the days when your blog was filled with great design idea's and how too's! Now its almost always just a plug for the magazine:(
Ouch, I'm not going to lie, that stings a bit. I thought the house tour posts were full of wonderful design ideas and inspiration, but read Monday's post for clarification. Life is full of change and choice, and right now my focus has undergone a shift and my priorities have changed as well. I've cut back significantly on the hours I devote to work, most of those now go to the magazine and my house is for the most part done, decorated in the way I and my family enjoy it. Instead of spending an additional 10-15 plus hours a week working on DIY projects and several more writing tutorial posts, I'm taking that time to live a full life.
The good news is, the are a gazillion fabulous blogs that focus on the things you miss here!
Thanks for helping me clarify my choices, and that yes, some of you will not be happy. Oh well, I can't be all things to all people. The most important thing is to make sure those people in my daily life, and myself, are happy.

janell! I love the energy you pour into the magazine! I looked at the last issue and thought how wonderful it was. It is filled will so many great ideas and features so many wonderful artist, designers and wonderful products. Way too much for a blog. You have moved to the next level my friend and I am sure there will be those to criticize but hold fast to your dreams. There are those of us who love the magazine and you can't be all things to all people. House of Fifty Rocks and so do you! I love your mag and your blog but mostly I love the "real" Janell!
