I can't even hardly get my head around this bath in a lakeside lodge. Is that a window or a door opening? I've never seen a wall of drapes in a bath, and look at that chandelier and the wood beamed ceilings. And then there is the stone and bath fixture...fantastical.
And then...sometimes it's the just right and comfortable that seems most appealing.
Like this nursery design by Lauren Liess, not over the top, no grand themes, just real, casual and inviting.
And while hardly glamours, this Ironing Mat from Solutions for just under $15 is brilliant. I don't know how many times I've actually tried to get away with throwing down a towel to do a little pressing touch up. It just doesn't work that well, but this would!
Finally, boyfriend jeans. Oh so comfortable to wear, but how do you avoid looking just plain sloppy?
Rachel of The Pink Peonies shares her "secrets" for making boyfriend jeans work:
Secret 1: Mine are not really bf pants, they're just paint old skinnies bought two sizes larger
Secret 2: Choosing a pair with hints of distressed details make all the difference
Secret 3: I rolled the bottoms to get just the right look
After I posted this photo and her tips on the House of Fifty Facebook Page there was a tiny bit of an outcry about her size. Yes, she's tiny and adorable and it would be so easy to feel jealous. But seriously, my hope would be that we can celebrate women of all sizes...we are all built differently!
And on that note, have a splendid weekend!

I haven't bought boyfriend jeans for that very reason, afraid to feel sloppy. I might just have to try her tip and reconsider! xo
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

And before I read the last part I was thinking "well, of course she could make boyfriend jeans work, she has no curves". So I guess I'm not the only one who thought that. Ha.
I'm in love with Laurens nursery. In LOVE. You're right, there is nothing really pretentious about it. It's simple, comfy and approachable. Love it.
I love this bath. Wonderfull.
Love Lauren's work - I'm a huge fan! I think I need one of those ironing mats too!
oh boy - that girls outfit is the cats pajamas! i LOVE it!
Great roundup...here are my thoughts;
That bathroom is uh-mazing
Love Laurens design style
I too have tried to iron on a towel
BF jeans are my fave...and dont be a hater...skinny girls need love too!
Happy Weekend.
I've had a pair of boyfriend jeans that turned into paint jeans over the years. They are broken in and sloppy and I wouldn't dare wear them out in public...until I cut them into shorts. Now they are comfy, trendy and have new life.
amen to that - she looks adorable. Love the nursery, love it all really!
Great round up and I would LOVE to be able to buy my jeans two sizes larger to get that look but I'd end up in the plus sizes and I'm just not ready for that lol
Good reminder to support each other...we need to build each other up as often as possible.
Have a great weekend!

I saw that bathroom and could not pin fast enough...the whole house made me want so badly.....
I do the same thing with a towel so that will be a good solution...because after I do it with the towel...it looks so horrible I have to do it again with the ironing board.
BF jeans.....I have a pair that I got about 3-4 years ago and I could wear them everyday!
Rachel looks fantastic...she's adorable. Lauren did a wonderful job with her nursery. Such a comfortable space. The chair is a fun addition! I think this is one of my favorite nurseries. Have a great weekend Janell.
HI Janell, thanks for sharing these ideas. I'd love to re-post the nursery! And LOVE the ironing mat - I gave away our ironing board since it was rarely used and just too big. The mat is the perfect solution! And hubby wants to iron a few things. :)
Can't tell you how many times I've tried to iron "real quick" and it turns into a "real mess"!! I need that ironing mat!!
Love the ironing mat idea - sure beats trying to iron something quickly on my bed! Love bf jeans and luckily a pair of jeans I've had for a few years fit me looser now and are just right:)
Heavenly bath room...and nice idea about the ironing mat! Great for a quick touch up.
