Designer Crush: Katie Rosenfeld

I'm always delighted when Katie has new designs to share, causing me to adore her work even more!

Katie's use of color and pattern is simply inspiring.

It was a delight to work with Katie on an article for House of Fifty magazine,
where she shares her top tips for using color with success.

Looking to add color, but need a little help? Read here.

  2. I love these rooms! The colors and patterns work so well together and make the rooms look so layered and interesting. This is such a tricky balance for me - bringing a room together like this without it looking too busy or not well thought out is a honed skill. ;-)

  4. Love Katie's work. I can see how she used her own advice and took the colour inspiration from an object: now I can see how the colours in the painting of the girl are repeated in the room adjacent. Great tips!

  5. I love everything about that first room. The wall color is perfect...I know seeing it online an sort of manipulate it a bit but it looks like a "dusty" off-white-ish color. Perfection. Does she give details on paint and fabrics?

  11. She has a great talent for using a lot of color and pattern without having it be "in your face". I love how she balanced it all with whites and neutrals. A masterful mix for sure!
