Character & Color In Spades

A Seattle home undergoes a major remodel by JAS Design Build and really, I can hardly imagine a home with a more welcoming feel than this one!

Beamed ceilings, abundant light, a yellow island and rich dark floors brightened by colorful striped rugs.

Open shelving and art lit by art lighting in a tongue in cheek manner adds a playful touch, made even more so when a clock is treated in the same fashion!

A chalkboard wall, lit in the same way as the kitchen art, lines a casual eating area.

Love the pop of cheery red on the lamp...

...and another table in the adjoining living area provides a place for  projects or games.

Built-ins for books as well as for sleeping.

In the bath a happy green is brought in on the basic stand supporting a trough sink...good for a family!

The home seems as charming as any country house you can imagine, and then a city scene is spied out the master bedroom.

And what is a well designed home without a mudroom?

Yes, I could happily move in tomorrow!

Could you please provide me with the address? I need to know where to forward my clothes.

Why is it that someone else's home looks better than your own sometimes? I love the layout of that family/kitchen area, and the fresh white trim, built ins, etc.! and I love those dotted sheets!
Have a great day.

I love this house. All the bright white and pops of color really make a difference when you live in the Pacific Northwest. My favorite? The soapstone sink and counter on that gorgeous yellow island. Oh, and the green base for the bathroom sink. Yep, I could move right in too! ~Delores

I adore the green base/trough sink combo! I'm thinking of taking the existing vanity in our boys bathroom in a fun direction like that... blue or green, hmm? ;) Rosa

I could live there! I love how the walls are neutral and all the color is from accessories (or the island in the kitchen), it make sit feel easy to live in.

Love everything about this home -- the color and finish choices, the worn-looking fireplace, the glove molds above the fireplace, the cabinet style, the trough sink in the bathroom ... would love to see it in person!
