$150 Mirror Mate Giveaway!!
I'm a big fan of Mirror Mate, a product that is simple to use and incredibly effective at updating and adding a customized look to plain plate glass mirrors. Not only am I delighted to have them as a sponsor of HOF, but excited to host a giveaway this week for $150 to spend at MirrorMate.com!

I also have my own before and after using Mirror Mate! Tackling the redesign of the master bathroom when we first moved into our new home, I knew for the project to be successful something had to be done with the mirror. It was a huge plate glass mirror that had zero character.
My first plan had been to take down the mirror and hang two individual mirrors, one over each sink. But as soon as I added up the costs, mirror removal, drywall repair and finding two new mirrors that were large enough to fill the wall space, I rethought my plan and instead ordered up some samples from Mirror Mate.
I selected the two tone Mediterra Glazed Earth as it picked up on other gold toned elements I had added to the room and the existing bronze bath fixtures and hardware. Those changes, along with paint, and I had a new room!

How timely, Janell! I just did a post and I mention the two companies I am considering buying from and asking for reviews. I have not only the main bathroom, but a really long mirror in our master bathroom that I want to do. I would definitely go with the Bellemeade Vintage Silver if I won.

Oh Wow! I had no idea such a system existed. I browsed for a whie for something to go with my plain-Jane but serviceable white laminate cabinets in my bathroom. Would love something jazzier but it's just not in the budget right now. This would be just the ticket. I loved the color and simplicity of

I have the standard builder's mirror in my bathroom. I dressed it up with grosgrain ribbon 6 years ago and now that I'm re-doing the entire bath I want something a little more sophisticated rather than whimsical. We so badly need to dress up our mirrors in our new to us home--and I would choose the Permaquid Black for our Master Bath...
Way cool! We live in an old barbershop, and I would like to update the mirrors that were used by the barbers 80 years ago with lovely frames.

It was difficult to choose. There are so many lovely styles. I have done this to my mirrors in the past, but we built them ourselves. I love that there is a company that makes this so simple and straightforward. I love the burnished silver frames. I would choose Providence Silver. I liked Tribeca too, I would have like to have seen it in a burnished silver!

Not sure if my comment posted - would love to do Gramercy Chardonnay or possibly Grandezza Aged Silver around the unframed mirror we just mounted in our living room across from the windows.
I think I would try the Acadia in oil rubbed bronze. All our bathroom mirrors are character-less builders grade right now. I have been thinking about mirror mates for a while now. Maybe some day....

Oh what to do with a house full of 70s bathrooms in the brightest of colours imaginable! Updating the mirrors is a fantastic idea, it might just be the start we need to take our kid's/guest bathroom into the current century.
