More Maison Inc. - My Dream Future Home!

Okay, to continue with today's theme of Maison Inc. infatuation...I just had to share another one of their projects I was quite taken with. This one the design of a penthouse located in the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon, which was part of the annual Portland Street of Dreams a couple years ago.

One day I'd love to move downtown, so I truly enjoy seeing urban spaces that feel as if I could move right in and be very content and comfortable. A limited color palette of whites and tans, with black accents, is used throughout the home. There is a wonderful mix of modern and traditional used consistently in each room, and  these stools fall right in line.

The same restful colors continue in a breezy bedroom. Quirky figurine lamps and a (I want it!) bamboo Chippendale chair are the stars of this room. The simple steel bedframe and antique rug continue the balance between the modern and traditional design plan.

An art covered wall uses a variety of frames and subject matter, but the result feels calm due to the same restraint of color that is applied throughout the entire home.

I just wish I'd taken more and more photos to share. There was a wonderful office/media room with a stellar view and some very chic bathrooms. Just try to use your imagination, and above a tiny peek of the terrace and city views beyond can be seen. Here's to dreaming about city living at its finest!

Those kitchen stools are so impractical for a family with two small children, but I love them anyway. Great style here!

It's beautiful!! I also dream about city living. Ever since I got hooked on the show "Selling New York", I can't get out of my head the idea of living in a downtown apartment with breathtaking views. I love the quietness of the suburbs (and the space of a single-family home) but there is something so alluring about urban living- it seems so cool! I looove these pictures, especially those stools!

I have 12 and 8 yrs. old daughter my hubby said once our eldest went off to college we will move to a condo in downtown Atlanta.

His been browsing online for condo while it still 5 to 6 yrs. down the road.

Well, we moved here from Germany going 6 yrs. on August seems like we been here for couple of yrs.

That would be exciting to live downtown, in my case can't wait when I don't have to take care of the yard.

Ambition has but one reward for all: A little power, a little transient fame; A grave to rest in, and a fading name travel photography

Love everything about these rooms. The lines of the canopy bed are terrific! Lots of great textures and finishes too.

I LOVE LOVE those stools... I may create a bar area just for those!!! The whole house is exquisite. Im not a tan person, but I totally can see myself in that tailored and classic space. Love the black to balance it all.

A simply beautiful space...although the nose sculpture on the wall reminds me of a Flonase commercial! Ha!
Once the kids are out...just 4yrs from now...we talk about living in downtown San Francisco a few months every year. I dream of the views in my "city by the bay"!
