Okay, to continue with today's theme of Maison Inc. infatuation...I just had to share another one of their projects I was quite taken with. This one the design of a penthouse located in the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon, which was part of the annual Portland Street of Dreams a couple years ago.
One day I'd love to move downtown, so I truly enjoy seeing urban spaces that feel as if I could move right in and be very content and comfortable. A limited color palette of whites and tans, with black accents, is used throughout the home. There is a wonderful mix of modern and traditional used consistently in each room, and these stools fall right in line.
The same restful colors continue in a breezy bedroom. Quirky figurine lamps and a (I want it!) bamboo Chippendale chair are the stars of this room. The simple steel bedframe and antique rug continue the balance between the modern and traditional design plan.
An art covered wall uses a variety of frames and subject matter, but the result feels calm due to the same restraint of color that is applied throughout the entire home.
I just wish I'd taken more and more photos to share. There was a wonderful office/media room with a stellar view and some very chic bathrooms. Just try to use your imagination, and above a tiny peek of the terrace and city views beyond can be seen. Here's to dreaming about city living at its finest!
