In Honor Of Mothers...And Their Daughters!

Being a mother is one of the biggest blessings in life and also one of the most complex challenges a woman can face. There are no exact rights or wrongs in how to raise children because each parent/child relationship is completely unique! So is it a wonder the perfect how-to manual is nowhere to be found?

Five women who I admire have shared their story and perspective on raising daughters in the latest issue of House of Fifty. Each is different, with varying priorities and beliefs about what has been important in their role as a mother raising daughters.

{Thank you Barbara, Debby, Emily, Kim and Estelle}

And not to exclude mothers of boys...it's just that this time around I decided to focus on that unique bond between a mother and daughter. Another time I'd love to explore the topic of raising boys; as a mother to a boy I'd most likely benefit from learning a few new tips! {If you have a boy and would like to participate in such an article, please let me know.}

If you haven't already read the article, click here, and an early Happy Mother's Day to all you moms!

I have only read Debbie's piece, will go now and read the rest. I have so many thoughts on parenting. I only have one daughter and she is 26 now, I learned, and continue to learn, so much about it. I treasure it.

Thank you once again, Janell, for allowing me to participate - it was a honor to be part of HOF. As always, HOF blew me away. You sure are one talented lady. I always hold so much admiration for anyone who has found success but remains humble a sweet - you totally fit the bill! xoxo

You have taken your destiny into your own hands and have outdone yourself. You have shown us that we can achieve anything no matter what life hands us. Thanks.

Many hugs.
