I Spy...

While clearing off the table in the dining room the other day, after having people over to eat a delicious carrot cake I baked up, my eye decided it wanted to see an additional dash of color in this spot.

It won't take long, I've got the supplies on hand.
Can you spy what will be getting a little attention later today?

I'm guessing those chairs might be on your agenda for some DIY...Guess I'll have to wait and see!

I'm thinking the steciled wall! Will you be adding to it or painting over it?! Because you must leave the birdcage blue:)

An ombre effect on your stair banisters?

I'm guessing the lampshade is going to get a makeover!

I was going to say the chairs but that would take too long. The lampshade or the tray would be my guess.

I'm guessing a bold floral on the shade or the birdcage in tangerine! Have fun! :)

I'm guessing the chairs or lampshade. I hope it's not the stenciled wall - it's beautiful - Or that awesome chandelier!

I am guessing the white tray where the brass birds are perched? I am imagining a bright pop of orange? or perhaps a bright green like the color in the little bowl???

Don't you dare touch that wall! It is beautiful. My guess is that you will be doing something with the chairs - or the table top. I don't know but can't wait to see!

The birdcage!! Or whatever you do, I think you're going to use the lime green from the anthro bowl next to the lamp!

Now I want carrot cake for dinner! That sounds so delicious. I'm thinking maybe you're going to add a little trim to your lampshade in a fun color? Can't wait to see what it is.

I love this room. I think the dash of color will go on the console in the form of a runner...?
By the way, I've been thinking for a long time that your chandelier is amazing. Where did you initially find it?

Janell @ House of Fifty said...

Hi Tammy, I found it on clearance at Crate & Barrel, then made the error of spray painting it black! Never did like it and took it down, stored it in the garage and even tried to sell it on craigslist until it occurred to me I'd like it again if it was returned to its original brass state.

Live and learn...
