Time To Simplify & Consolidate!!

Okay, things have gotten out of hand! When I launched House of Fifty mag, of course I also created a House of Fifty website, blog, facebook page and twitter account, later adding a Pinterest page. Seriously?!?! I feel dizzy. All in addition to this blog and the Isabella & Max facebook and twitter accounts.

Then a couple of days ago I literally stopped in my tracks and thought, duh, time to consolidate! I basically post the same information on both and at times even repost a post from one blog to another. And when I find something great I want to share on facebook or twitter the first question I ask is, "Isabella & Max or HOF?"

So I'm consolidating. If you'd like to continue following me on facebook, follow the House of Fifty facebook page.

If you want to continue following me on twitter, make sure you are following me at HouseofFiftymag.

Soon I'll be making a change here at Isabella & Max Rooms as well, redirecting traffic from the House of Fifty blog to this site and a couple other little tweaks. More on those changes later when Shari of little blue deer and I finalize our ideas, I'll keep you posted!

All this to streamline and simplify. It makes such complete sense, why I didn't think of it before now I'll never know.

What are YOU doing to streamline or simplify your life?
I do believe we'd all love to hear!

Good idea - I'm dizzy just reading that! I can totally see why so many companies hire people just to deal with social media - it can be overwhelming.

Good for you! I don't know how most keep up with all of that...I have a hard enough time with my little ole blog and email!! My daughter is one of those social media gurus. Her day makes my head spin!!

I've sorta been feeling the same way lately, very overwhelmed by the amount of information I put out there in the world and the amount of information others put out. It's like information overload. I probably don't handle it in the best way, when I feel overwhelmed I tend to shut off the computer and the rest of the world for a day or two, probably not the best way to run a business but it works to keep me sane! (:

Glad to hear you are consolidating and making things less stressful for yourself. Two blogs, FB pages, Twitter pages, etc is just too much!

Ok, I must admit I wasn't too happy to hear this news! Did you know that I'm terrible when it comes to change?! But who am I kidding? I would follow you anywhere! So consolidate away my friend. I'm still going to be reading, liking, tweeting, etc.! Good for you!! After all, we do have lives outside of all of this:)

I just finished that same type of simplification! Everything can now be found on one site, www.homeiswheremystorybegins.com. It has links to my blogs, facebook, resources, and ebooks. I wish I would have done it sooner!

Makes so much sense...that's just way too much social media to keep up with! Good luck with the merge and I'll of course be following every step of the way:)

That is great! Love following you and HOF! Can't imagine how you do it all. We just started our blog and just that is a lot but exciting!

very smart. i don't have half the load of that and am overwhelmed by all the extra social media and options we have today. i kind of feel like a granny cause i can't keep up and acually tried "not" to have a personal FB page up until a couple months ago. never even been to twitter. so behind:)!
happy st. patty's day!

Always looking for ways to consolidate all my social media outlets -- especially for us hands-on types who would rather be creating!

I have the same problem. I guess we have to decide where the greatest investment of time and $$ is and what is the easiest for the public to hear you. Isabella and Max is what you built on, but a HOF blog would be just as effective because your fans will go where ever you write!

I'm in constant awe of your energy levels, but this makes perfect sense. :)
