WOW! Some of those pantries are bigger than my kitchen.
Some friends of mine recently renovated their smallish kitchen. They converted the mudroom/laundry room into a butler's pantry. I thought it was brilliant.

I wish I had the room for one in my home. Seems like such a functional space. Beautiful inspiration pictures.

I am lucky to have a small butler's pantry between the dining room and kitchen and just love it. If I was to build another house I would definitely include it again and probably make it bigger! Thanks for sharing such pretty pictures - great inspiration.

Love them....we took an ackward hallway in our recent renovation and put in a butler's pantry that is also serving as a place to store mail/shoes, etc. in huge built in cabinets since we have a detached garage and no mudroom (you enter the house through our kitchen in the back). I LOVE it.

My brother and sister in law just built an amazing home and the kitchen is the show stopper. I never would have thought to do a butler's pantry but now I want one so bad. I love the ones you picked.

Yes, yes and yes!!!! Most of those butler's kitchens are bigger than my own kitchen now, but when we build our house...I am insisting on one, even though Hubs thinks I'm nuts. Having a place to keep dirty dishes, pots and pans while entertaining sounds fantastic to me (as long as there is a door to close on it)! Love it.

A friend has one in her home and I am insanely jealous. I would LOVE one!

We live in an old house with a tiny kitchen so the butlers pantry is a lifesaver! Our pantry is one of the features of our home that people always comment on! If we ever build, a butlers pantry will be at the top of the list!

Great images. I live in California in a track home. The builder attempted a butlers pantry. Its more like a catch all! I would love to have any of these butler pantry's. They are beautiful!

Definitely something I would want in my dream home! And a huge room for a closet as well! :)

We have a butler's pantry that needs a lot of work. It's a bit smaller than the ones in the above pictures though. I really want to do something fun in there, but not really sure what yet.

Such a great collection of butler pantries here. I am loving the first one with the turquoise paint. Divine!

I would love to have a butler's pantry. We like to entertain and this would make it much easier. The extra space! Love the minty color in the first couple images.

I have a small butler's pantry similar to the size of the Miles Redd image - is it being greedy if I want the one from Newman & Wolen design...perfection!!

I love butler's pantries. There is just something so useful, yet charming about them!

I would one, especially the more casual (colorful) ones. The idea of a butler's pantry sounds stuffy, but fun and bright design makes it less so. It's probably a great way to keep your kitchen uncluttered (as if that's possible!)

Lisa - A Room with A View said...

I could absolutely use one. It is a perfectly utilitarian yet can be beautified. And the storage possibilities!

Butler's pantries are a perfect place to store overflow kitchen tools, especially those needed for entertaining. I would definitely consider one if I were to build again. That, and/or a walk-in pantry.

Oh gosh...some of those are quite stunning...might I add....if I dropped a pan of grease and there was a small fire in my kitchen...I would watch it burn for just a little while before I put it out :) Then NEW KITCHEN......!!!!!
