Yes-I have stripes! I painted horizontal stripes in my entryway/hallway last year when my husband was out of state for work:) I knew he'd try and veto the idea so what better a time to get it done, lol. Thankfully he loves them as much as I do.
I also did 2 walls of stripes in my daughters room as well as a tree mural-using kristin davis as design inspiration:)
I've been thinking about doing stripes in my foyer. It has an 8ft ceiling & I thought vertical stripes would make the ceiling feel higher. But I think horizontal stripes are more fun.
I love these stripes but sadly I don't have any stripes in my life. I don't know if I have the patience/skills to put up tape in a straight line. Maybe I'll get adventurous one day but for now I'll have to admire stripes from afar.
Love the stripes and LOVE your blog. I thought that I should say hello since I visit your site every day!!!... and it was so fun to stop by today and see a photo from my dear friend, Lindsay Brier from Anyon Interior Design, and her awesome nursery. (the one with the gray horizontal stripes)..Such a small world!
I am a stripeaholic. I have stripes in my bathroom-- vertical stripes are a fantastic way to create the illusion of more depth in a small space. It took FOREVER and I thought about giving up more than a couple times in the painting process, but I persevered thankfully, because now I admire my stripes on a daily basis!
I am an absolute stripe fanatic! I love it for both fashion and home decor! I have plenty of stripes in my wardrobe...now I just need to find a wall (or ceiling) in my home to add some stripey fabulousness too! Thanks for sharing all the gorgeous striped inspiration!
oh boy, just when I want to paint stripes, they seem to be showing up more and more, and not so unique... So Im thinking Vertical stripes or uneven, wavy stripes or something different! Happy Weekend Janell!
Nancy P.S. don't forget our give away! http://www.powellbrower.com/2012/02/powell-brower-home-maiden-giveaway.html
The question is, where DON:T I have stripes...or want to put stripes?! My son's room has a striped wall, the guest bath is striped all the way around, my bedroom dresser is striped, and I've got another project on the brain that includes stripes!! Can you have too many stripes in your home?!?!
I love the stripes! I have always been a fan of stripes in fashion and love how they have found their place in interiors. I think stripes on the ceiling in a nursery is a brilliant idea, it adds intrigue and interest.
Loving the stripes, I have a grey and white striped office and my daughter's room also has an accent wall done in stripes. Was thinking about doing a ceiling, but I may have hit my stripe quota for a single dwelling.......I'll just have to do it in a client's home;-)
No stripes in this apartment, except for some striped pillows (can't paint the walls). But I'd love some nice subtle grey wide stripes somewhere like in that nursery :)
Great picks! Yes, I have stripes in my home. We used the same color with a different finish (ie glossy and eggshell) to horizontally stripe our living room. It took a week, which was fine b/c it was before my daughter was born. haha. I still love it three years later but didn't love the slow process. :)
Now where can I put some stripes in our house! These are all fabulous. They really add some depth and a touch of whimsy to a space. I love Courtney's (A Thoughtful Place) stripes she just painted on her wall in her bonus room. She did a beautiful job. Happy weekend, Janell.
I think stripes can be addictive. I have subtle stripes in my basement but looking at all the striped ceiling inspiration out there I wonder where I could put some more!
I LOVE stripes! Last summer, we painted stripes in our entry, and I seriously wanted to stripe my whole house--I know, a little much! I also love stripes on ceilings, but not enough to ever do it myself!
I really like the 2nd to last photo. It looks very cute and comfy. Some of the stuff looks like the home decor items I bought from a site called World to Home.
Yep, on ceiling! And on the towels...boys' room...entry wall(sort of) they are a chevron pattern. You could even say in the other bedrooms because I have always painted a color 2/3rds of the way up the wall and do the other third and ceiling the same color to give the appearance of height but it kinda looks like a stripe!

Yep! But I'm really loving the stripes on the ceiling and the smaller stripes on the wall. Nice images:)
Hey, Didn't Max celebrate a Birthday?!?!? No pics of the cute guy?!
I have stripes! Was working on a post coming soon about it!!!
Love all of the stripes...especially the ones on the ceiling!
It's been on my list for almost a year now! My hallway upstairs will be getting stripes someday when I get to that project:). Love 'em!

Love the clean and bright look it creates. Love it on the ceilings!

Yes, I have stripes too! Gray ceiling stripes in my husband's office and also horizontal stripes in my entryway.

Are there stripes in my home? You bet! I have striped pillows, roman blind, and walls! LOVE, love, LOVE stripes. They are a bit of an obsession here!

Oh yes...I too love stripes. Added horizontal stripes to my hallway last year...

It was alot of work...but worth it!
No stripes, but I sure could use some! They add so much personality to a space even though they are so simple in design.

a great round up from a lady with a great eye! LOVE stripes!

Stripes would be fun on our house, we don't have them yet maybe soon :) ?
Yep, and I love them! You must check out my post today, we are on the same page!
There are tons of stripes in my closet but none on my walls yet. I love this look!

Love stripes! I could have used your first pic in my post today, even though it's not on stripes! Three of the items in it totally fit! lol
Have a great weekend Janell!
