I Can't Find A Single Reason Why This Shouldn't Be In My House

No. I can't think of a single good reason.
{well, okay, the money thing}

Would it be strange to ask for wallpaper for Christmas?

  1. No it won't!!! I was gonna say let it be a Christmas gift! I just posted about this yesterday! Get it. GET IT! You've worked so hard this past year and that deserves a treat! Look at it like this, how can you not get the wallpaper when I'm getting the fabric?! Well, I know its totally different in price, but.... I still think you deserve to have it:)

    Ps,
    GET IT!!!!!!!!!!

  2. It's so pretty and happy. Whoever said that wallpaper wasn't cool was seriously wrong.

  3. Absolutely not. It is the practical side in us! I'm asking for new chairs for our living room and pendants from Restoration Hardware from Santa. ;D Love the beautiful colors in the paper!
    Enjoy your day

  5. Looks like a great Christmas present. Where are you going to put it ?

  6. I love Chiang Mai. That colorway would look great in your home. Maybe you could use it in a small area?

  7. Just think how happy you would be to find several rolls under your Christmas tree?! Where is it heading in your home, Janell?

  8. Goodness no! Santa knows that you've been good. I'm sure he'll come through for you.
Make sure you ask for an installer too.

  9. Totally think that should be under your tree this year...............hey you're being practical.......who needs another sweater!

  10. I'd put it on my list in a heartbeat! I always do the it can be 'Christmas, Birthday and Valentine's Day!' Ha, by the time those roll around, they've forgotten. :)

  11. Mary, yes, Santa must send an installer as well. I'd NEVER hang wallpaper myself, unless is was inexpensive stuff and it was being hung in the garage!

I'd love to see this hung on the stairwell wall in my dining room.

    Well see...Santa?

  15. You should absolutely ask for wallpaper for Christmas! I knew I ask my husband for a new sofa last year(instead of small gifts throughout the whole year which include my birthday, Valentine's Day, Anniversary and Christmas). LOL.

Can't wait to see the new wallpaper on your stairwell wall! Have a lovely weekend, Janell!

  16. of course! My grandson assured me that if Santa didn't bring me a puppy, he will. Put that Santa letter on your frig! I love that wallpaper but I do struggle a bit with the dragon. He's cute but then kinda ferocious too. I love the pattern, the colors, and if the wallpaper came without Mr. Dragon, I can see some possibility in my home! Dragons, btw, can be a good sign.

  17. If I am asking for a new iphone because of HOF's new app.....then you certainly can ask for that wallpaper, and I agree with Mary! Ask for the installer too, heck, you have been a "good girl" this year, right?

  18. Ha! Love this:) I would totally ask for wallpaper for Christmas! You need it!

  19. Janell! You read my mind - I just submitted my x-mas list to my hubs and parents/inlaws and asked for wallpaper! they gave me a cocked eye-down but seemed to agree... fingers crossed!! and will keep them crossed for you too!

  22. Gorgeous, and no not strange! One year I asked for wainscoting for Mother's Day. Priorities you know.

Where will you Chaing Mai go? I could see it in a fabulous powder room, couldn't you? Hope Santa brings you several rolls....

  23. Oh I LOVE the CM in wallpaper and no...it's not strange at all- my entire wish list is stuff for the house- if it makes you feel better, I'm asking for material to add to my living room curtains for X-Mas;)

  24. Gorgeous on your staircase. Santa knows you have been good! There is something that is just mesmerizing about that Chiang Mai print. It is just beautiful.

  29. OMG! Just had to post and say I asked for wallpaper and an installer for Christmas too!!!! (Not the same wallpaper)

I told my husband that I would think it was the best Christmas ever if he bought me wallpaper and had already schedule the guy to come in the next 2 days after Christmas.

I am totally telling him that is all I want now. :o)

Glad I'm not the only one!

  30. How hilarious. I don't know why I never thought about doing that. I usually come up with a list of lame things that I could easily buy for myself. Wallpaper is the one thing I've been battling with lately as well. Feeling guilty for having such expensive taste.

  31. Nothing wrong with that at all - its actually a very good idea...I think I might just follow and ask for the Ikea sofa I've been wanting for awhile now....:)

  32. Yes for Christmas? Powder room maybe?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh, yes! A must for your wish list for Santa. It is gorgeous.

  37. Us women are always thinking of practicality and how to get what we need and still make everything work. I do the same thing. One year i asked for tile to be put in the kitchen. What is that?

    ReplyDelete
  38. No stranger then me asking for antiqued beams for my kitchen....lol! Love it, that is Schumachers isn't it? I am loving all of Schumachers papers, was in their showroom about a month ago and fell in love with so many, just today ordered my family room from them...its been SO long since I ordered wallpaper, that I did a doubletake when they gave me the price....I was like huh, are you SURE? Wow its gotten pricey but oh so worth it when it goes up...like the gift that keeps on giving!
    LOOOOOVE the colors!
Maybe Santa can get chummy with one of the Schumacher elves:)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Heck no! I would love that on my walls as well. Good thing I have two pillows. I just LOVE that fabric and print!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Haha! Love the wallpaper as Christmas-gift idea, lol! :) PS - I'm giving away a juju hat on my blog... would make a good Christmas gift! ;)

  42. I love it. I downloaded an image on my desktop a couple of weeks ago and have been pondering over it myself.

If wallpaper will make you happy on Christmas, then do it. It’s not odd at all; it’s a girl thing!

  43. That is what santa is for! I love Chaing Mai in any form! Ask away!!

    Merry Christmas!

  44. Go for it. Just make sure you get all the same dye lot! Schumacher has the best prints. This one is fabulous.

  45. It's a great idea! I believe the print is timeless.

  46. Janell, this has been in my favorites pile for a couple of years now! i would love to use this paper. Was thinking about it for my powder room walls, also had thought of using the fabric in my kitchen. just couldn't decide which way I wan't to use it more....go for it!

    ReplyDelete
  47. LOVE it! And no, you can ask for anything you want for Christmas! Santa may think it's weird but maybe he needs a home makeover. :)

  48. I adore that print, I want to use it as long drapery panels in my studio. We have dark navy walls and the contrast would be phenomenal. If you get it in wallpaper form, please post photos, I'd love to see the end result!

  49. Get it! I've loved the pattern for so long, but the money is stopping me too. So if you get it, I'll live vicariously through you. : ) Its ok to ask for wallpaper for Christmas. I'm asking to be able to organize my pantry from the Container Store. Wallpaper is much more glamorous!
