They are so beautiful! Although I can imagine someone asking, "Oh! Is that from Target?" Gah. Even so, one of these will be making it on my Christmas list.
Oh so true! But in a couple years when the items from target have possibly been tossed out because they've fallen apart you'll still have a classic. Sorry Target...you know I typically love you! Janell
I got some of the Target stuff, and it's fun, but I don't think anyone will mistake the Target pieces for the real deal.I think Hautelook had some Missoni scarves this week...a good way to save a few bucks :)
I have a bedroom design question...every wall in my bedroom has either a big window or a doorway on it. I want to buy a bed set and I don't know where to place the bed. How do you feel about putting beds (headboards) in front of window. The headboard is really tall and would block a lot of the window, put I have another window on the other wall. What should I do? Could I send you a picture of my room?
Hi Janell,Couldn't agree more with what Emily said! I have an old Missoni scarf too and still wear it! Sometimes it pays to make an investment!xo~Jill
Sometimes rooms don't give us a lot of options! I put a queen size bed in front of the larger window in Isabella's room and it completely works. I've seen more and more people doing this, the key is to make whatever window treatments used work with the headboard, window and side tables...in my opinion. Sure, send a pic! Janell
There are no Target stores in Canada yet so we were only able to sit and watch in horror as the crowds fought their way to the Missoni goods. The real deal always makes you walk a little taller, don't you think?
I didn't even try to go to Target for the Missoni event. My favorite scarf is a Missoni from a couple of years ago but it came from Nordy's and I didn't have to fight for it!
I'd say go for the real deal too! I went to a wedding a several years ago, and a woman I met was wearing a "vintage Missoni" (said in her Swiss accent). She had somewhat messy hair, gold bracelets, and that fantastic dress...it really made an impression! I considered it true European style.
I bought a sweater for my grand daughter and passed on the adult wear. Funny you posted this… I totally relate.
I so missed the Missoni boat at Target...forgot all about it and then I heard all the news! Definitely not something I would have gotten up early got...:)
I am with you!I got 2 Missoni things by accident just because I happened to be at Target that morning. Not even things I wanted! I later returned them! I rather save up for something I really like and really want! And something that will last for a long time. Classic pieces.Warm hugs to you,Monhttp://www.splendidwillow.com
