Fun Clogs Via Savor Home!

Clogs. I wore them several years ago and am quite surprised I'm thinking they might be fun to wear again! While searching for a pair I stumbled across Tiffany's blog Savor Home. She wrote the below post on clogs featuring a fun resource, Swedish Hasbeens!
Tiffany

"I'm still working on my list of fashion items for the fall. Making a list gives me something to look forward to in the midst of this stifling weather. I'm so ready for fall... The first items on my list were some fabulous bags. You can see that post here. Next up: shoes."

"I got my very first pair of clogs when I was in high school (15+ years ago). They were thrifted and I wore them until they fell apart. They seemed to be on the outs for a while, but have been "in" for the last few years and I'm thrilled. I like to wear them with tights or jeans with a big chunky, warm sweater. I'll be getting a new pair for the fall- for sure."

How funny....I was just thinking about clogs the other day! I wore them years ago and loved them. Clogs, jeans and a big chunky sweater sounds like the perfect fall outfit. I loved that you could just slip them on and go! I may need to get a pair! Happy weekend, Janell.

It is hard to imagine jeans and a sweater right now in the 100 degree heat we have been having but I think that is a great look...and love the clogs...!

Perfect timing! I was just going to go through my shoes and get rid of my clogs, thinking they were out of fashion. Good thing I read your post! I will be saving them for fall now.

I got my first pair when I was 3 and was in Sweden (in 1965). I still have them...somewhere...they are all shriveled up but they are red and are so adorable. I'm glad my mom saved them for me.

Oh Janell...you mean several decades ago, right?
At least that's how long it's been for me.

Hi Janell. I've had a pair of clogs in my wardrobe every year since I was in junior high (ok, the 70's.) I've always loved them, always will. My recent obsession is with Troentorp clogs from Seeden, wooden heel and all. I bought them on vacation in Alaska 3 years ago, when I went in a Sweedish shop in Anchorage. My back was killing me from walking and the woman in the shop promised me all my back pain would go away if I kept these clogs on. I was desperate, and luckily, also in love with these clogs, so I bought them. Guess what? No back pain within 15 minutes and they are my go-to shoes when my back flares up. To top it off, they look brand new three years and counting even though I have worn them to death! Some think granola style when they think clogs, but not so. Fun to read this, and now I have to go check out this blog :)
