Recall The Post, 'High vs. Low?' Here's What I Picked!

The builder grade light fixture in the powder bath wasn't doing this room any favors.
The below caught my eye....

{ HIGH }

...but then I was sent a link to this "low version" below.

{ LOW }

Your responses to which you would pick were pretty much divided equally down the middle.
But I ended up selecting the low. Come on...you know I have a strong frugal streak in me!
{I just couldn't spring for an expensive fixture for such a small space}

It arrived and I believe it will look great in the space...once I tweak it a bit. Yes, the finish is slightly off for the room and not exactly what I expected from the image. {Perhaps you do get what you pay for!} But Rub 'n Buff is already fixing that. In addition I need to do something about the "candle covers". The image shows that they are white, but they arrived gold. Hum...not so fabulous. But for a deal, you also know I'm just fine doing a little work!

You wouldn't love the finished product as much if you hadn't had a hand in making it your own! It's going to be beautiful! You can get the candle covers in the lighting dept of home depot or Lowes. Can't wait to see it up!

Agree with Sally J. Making this new fixture your own is all about rub and buffing with a little Janell soul. Will shine!

good choice. I love the combination of a soft blue wall with gold accents.

Smart lady! It's a good feeling to get a deal especially if you're going to tweak it. I think the covers look great in gold. Not so much all together???

It will look just at striking as the expensive one. Are you allowed to say where you ordered it from?

Bravo. Granted I'm definitely biased toward the cheaper/DIY route pretty much every time, but it looks great!
