Waiting...

I'm hoping about this time next week I'll be seeing this light fixture hung above the table in the dining room! About time.

The latest addition: funky simple round bulbs.

LOVE. Picked them up while at the hardware store selecting paint for Max's bike paint job.

They remind me of bubbles...

So what's the hold up? I'm waiting on the fabulous brass chain to arrive. There wasn't enough length of the original chain to hang this fixture from the higher ceiling, so I took this opportunity to add some more style to the fixture. This is a detail that often gets overlooked, but when I spotted this style at Naomi's Lampshades & Lamps I couldn't resist.

Time to make a call to the electrician; this is one fixture (at this height!) that I won't be installing myself.

*gasp* Do I spot a limit to what you can do? Note to self: Janell won't install very high fixtures. Yup, that's the *only* thing I've ever heard you say you won't do!!

It's looking GORGEOUS! I LOVE the little glass bulbs. What a great touch. Brilliant, as always.

The brass chain looks luxe and fabulous. Great choice, Janell. It's such a nice detail and it would look so perfect with the chandelier. Can't wait to see it in the dining room next week.

Janell, you must have the patience of Job! I can't wait to see your completed Dining Room after all that you have had to go through to finish it... getting the green out of the table, sewing slip covers, the bench make over and waiting for the little tacks, the light fixture makeover...
like I said the patience of Job!

It is always the little details that make a difference and you have an eye for those details Janelle and as House Dressing said, the patience of Job! That is what makes your spaces awesome and fun to watch as they are transformed.

So utterly beautiful! Question for you: Let's say you decide to move down the road but you do not want to include all of your expensive and gorgeous light fixtures. Do you show the house with those items you will be taking with you or do you just tell your realtor to pass on the bad news to prospective buyers? thx!

It's going to be stunning!! I love that you have found all the pieces you need to make it perfect rather than settling for big box crap.

Looks great! I love the chain! Definitely worth the wait.

Bless your patience girl! I would have hung that with a rope already. I have a tiered lucite one that is getting rewired and they wired it wrong the first time, so the waiting is killing me!
Can't wait for youe big reveal!
