Happy {meeting} Anniversary!My husband and I celebrate the day we met as much or more than our wedding anniversary. Perhaps because of the way we ended up meeting, it seems like a day to remember!
After reading an article featuring my fashion business in the Chicago Tribune, he decided he wanted to meet me. Strangely, when the editor had called to tell me which Sunday the article would be published, my thought was: "Hum, some guy is going to read it and write me. That should be interesting."
Some guy indeed did, and here we are 16 years later.
Sometimes it pays to listen to your instincts...and then go out on a limb.

Happy happy, what a great meeting story! Hope you share it often with your kids, especially the listening to your instincts part. Having spent time in Chicago, you may appreciate that my hubby and I met at the Berghoff. Just before it closed several years ago, we took our kids there so they could see the place and enjoy a good German meal!

Mary, of course I was nervous, and if I hadn't been my Mom's nervousness would have been enough for two!! "Bring a friend, meet at a public place in the day!!" Then on the way I'm thinking, okay, what kind of guy does this, he may be nice, but really...don't get your hopes up!!

No way! 5-11 is our date-iversary too! We celebrate the day we started dating. We were high school sweet hearts, so we had already known eachother for a while before we got together. 11 years today for us! Congrats to you & your hubby!
