More Dining Room Seating Arrives

Again, hoping for the best, I placed an online order for furniture. You'd think I would have learned from my previous experience. But...I did have a sizable gift card to use and was in need of a few chairs to complete the dining room seating. So, I opted to throw the dice.

Here is the online image.

And here is what arrived late yesterday afternoon.
LOVE the utilitarian hardware.

I also like how the cane seating introduces another texture.
Even better, my husband sat in one and said, "comfortable, why didn't you order more?"
Shoot...really?

The only issue (of course there's an issue!) is that the wood could be a tad bit smoother.
Don't be surprised if one day I post about a little sanding and Briwax party.

Oh well, happily they also look great with the nearly complete bench.

On a less successful front, the nail head trim to complete that project finally arrived yesterday as well.
Correction, a package arrived. But the wrong style was shipped.
Decorating...it takes patience.

I love them. I was wondering what you would choose to go with the bench. Looks so great!

The chairs are perfect!!! And I agree with your sentiment about decorating and patience, I know that bench is going to be amazing when the right nailhead trim arrives.

Those are really the perfect chairs! like, seriously! Emily Henderson used some in a room she did on the show a few weeks ago. I loved them then. I think the ones she used were white!

And you had a giftcard? Wow, I wish someone gave me a giftcard that large;)

Yes, the Madeleine chair at RH, currently on special. Lakeitha, I'm busted, this is one card I didn't send YOU for YOUR project, and you have a sharp eye, I was inspired by the chairs Emily used!! Janell

The chairs look ideal with the table that fact that they're comfortable doesn't hurt either.

I love the chairs....but be warned...in my experience those cane seats don't wear very well! We've had numerous chairs like that and all have to be recaned fairly shortly! And then it's difficult to find someone who will stain the caning to JUST the right color! Cushions can help to prolong the life...

Great tip! And this is one reason the kids will have the bench, which they love! I have thought of cushions, thanks for the heads up! Janell

i have two chairs just like that (although mine have arms)......we use them as the "head chairs".....so the kidlets don't get food jammed up in the cane ;-)

The chairs look high end, especially with the wood finish. A sanding & briwax party could be fun!

If anyone has questions about cane I just read Miss Mustard Seed's post today about replacing cane! I now know how to do this if I ever need to.

Those chairs go so good with your table, Janell! Too bad about the nailhead ~ it's disappointing when you are so excited that something has arrived and it turns out to be the wrong something.

I love how your dining room turned out! I am considering buying the RH chairs. How have they held up? We will be using them several times a week and my 3 year old grandson and his family live with us.
