Decorating With Children's Art Brings Whimsy To A Home!

our home

This has to be, hands down, the best example of decorating with children's art I've seen in a long time, if not
ever! When I first saw this image on one of my favorite blogs, Cottage & Vine, I followed the links in Rene's post to see who had created this art wall.

That is when I discovered the blog Simple Thoughts, and lucky for me, I saw the author Paige had posted the above picture on Houzz. Yeah! That meant I could use it as the beginning inspiration when writing this week's Ideabook for that site. (See how this blog thing works, one inspiring thing leads to another, I love it!)

To see more wonderful examples of decorating with children's art and a few tips on how to display these masterpieces, read my latest Ideabook for Houzz  here.

Have a great weekend! Janell

  5. You know...I was JUST saying this week that I need to pull out all the old framed kidlet art. I used to have it all over the house...need to do it again! Love it clustered!

  6. That is very sweet and whimsical and no two walls will ever look alike! In my old house and when my kids were younger, I had a huge wall right above the staircase filled from top to bottom with the kids art, everything was framed in the same silver frames...and it was like a shrine/mini musem of all their best "works" not only was it a joy to see everyday that we went up and down the stairs but for visitors it was one of the first places they wanted to linger, to look at all their little masterpieces!

  7. I agree with you--this is one of the cutest kids' art displays I've ever seen, too! I bet it makes her kids feel special to see their art displayed so prominently.

  8. when My first Grand was a little guy I knew I would be getting lots of artisitic treasures so I bought 3 frames one for each grand and have them in their playroom and everytime they visit I get a new piece of art for the frames. Love it and they love seeing it framed and displayed it is amazing how much children love seeing their works displayed beautifully instead of hanging on the frige where you can not see one from the other. You are right this is an amazing display and I am sure it is going to inspire lots of your readers.Happy Weekend,Kathysue

  17. It's lovely, but it makes me regret not doing something similar when my kids were young! Maybe I should have my husband crawl into the attic and dig out their old artwork.Take care.
