This happens...
...and instead of getting upset you think hey, something to blog about!
The kids swear to me no gymnastic moves were being practiced when this occurred.
I'm choosing to believe them, now to just figure out how to repair the problem!
Add this to my "to-do" list.

That's so funny - I find myself thinking that way too, that anything that happens would make a great post! hmm... as for no gymnastics moves, I'd wager a bet that there might have been! :)
YIKES I would have thought excuse to call a handyman! lol
Hahahaha!!!! I saw your tweet and came over. This is so funny Janell! And you're right, that's how you know you're a blogger!
Happy Friday!
This is funny....it is true that everything is a potential blog post....but I am sure this one would have me calling in help....for you, I am sure there is a bathroom redesign coming out of it! Have a great weekend.
Way to make lemondade out of those lemons Janell! I'm never without my blogging helmet on either.
You may or may not have an olympic contender amongst you? Just saying;0 .
Too funny, I must not be there yet... I would have had a slight hissy fit :) But you're right... good blog material!
Too funny! Way better attitude than getting upset!
To funny! I know I think the same things when something happens... 'Hmmm... this could potentially be the start of a good blog post...'. haha.
Just all in good fun. Happy Friday!
Don't you just wish you could have been a fly on the wall when whatever happened...happened! I bet those little faces were priceless ;)
Oh my! I do think someone will may loose a little sleep until they confess! I guess you'll get to practice your mudding and texturing skills!
Now that's funny...not the part where the rod ripped out of the wall...but the blogging part. That's how I've been justifying alot of purchases lately.
You & Jeff Foxworthy should get together & come up with 10 ways to know if your a blogger.
This is close to occurring in my kids' bathroom as well and I've got plans to replace the pressure rods with the more permanent rods that swoop out a bit.
I've noticed that my kids hold on to the curtain for balance when getting in and out of the shower, as well as when they're drying off, which must have something to do with it ...
Awww yes, there's always a blogging opportunity :) On the upside, I bet they did some really awesome tricks in the shower.
Yikes, I knew that there had to be a plus for my laziness in using a pressure mounted rod in my bathroom.
So annoying to have to repair something like that.
Have you found a solution to the table yet? I am told that mineral oil works beautifully.
Have a great weekend.
Kids, quick, do a pull up so Mom has something to blog about today. I totally get it :) Enjoy your repair work, lol.
Happy weekend Janell.

WOW! Maybe it wasn't gymnastics, but they were "swing on an electrical wire to escape a burning building." C'mon Janell, you have to be more imaginative!
So funny to see that though, just yesterday my floating ledge came tumbling down off the wall. Good thing no one got hurt!
Ha, too funny. It must of been the "I-don't-know" ghost. She frequented our house quite a bit when my kids were younger:)
You're so funny ;) and that is so true about always looking for material!!! My new line, "send it to me, I'll blog about it!" Why do I think that by tomorrow you will be blogging the repair already?! Happy Friday!
I remember Centsational Girl saying something similar, when she caught herself wondering whether to take a photo of the blue tape protecting her baseboard during a paint project.
Seriously, I hate when things fall down, or won't go up in the first place. All the advice about hanging curtains high and wide... my poor hubby made a wall like Swiss Cheese, just trying to get a rod to hang anywhere near one of our windows. You never know what dodgy repairs the previous owner has made!
Haha...we had a picture frame fall off the wall (due to a tug-of-war match with the kids) and I started taking pics too! I think it's blogger resourcefulness! : )

So true! Love your positivity ;-)
Ha ha, yes I think that had the kids involved somehow! My mirror closet door is broken and the kids look at me like I'm crazy that I could think they could dare do that :)
Hope you have a fabulous weekened!
XO
You are so right!! I was in the shower this morning getting ready to go to my favorite store that sells luxury brands for up to 65 percent off and I immediately thought, Hey, I will take my camera and do a post about it. I was thinking of how to position the items, how to get a close-up of the original price and the reduced price. Only bloggers understand this lovely insanity! :)
Janell I am laughing with you not at you. I am so a true blogger, I do look at life through my readers eyes a lot of the time. I like it because I notice things more now than ever before!! Sorry about the mishap, but you are right ,now you can tell us all how you fixed the mishap!! Happy weekend from one blogger to another11 Kathysue
OH NO!! I can so relate, though. Glad you had a good sense of humor about it to photograph and blog about it! Good luck with the repairs. :)
haha, this is so true!
I hope you get it fixed without too much issue :)
this reminds me of my childhood =)
So funny!!!!!!! And so true! Sorry about having to fix it though.;-)
Haha, SOOOOO true! I find myself thinking about things like that too!
Yikes! That reminds me of the time I sat on the wall mounted sink. We lived in an ancient house when I was about 5. One day I sat on the sink and it came away from the wall! I don't think I ever owned up to it. LOL
Do you ever wonder what you did with your time before kids?! These kinds of mishaps make me laugh. Don't you wish you could have been a fly on the wall to see what was going on in there?!
yep! You know you're a true blue -dyed in the wool- blogger when THIS IS NEW MATERIAL!
Been there done that...
Quick GRAB THE CAMERA I've got to blog about....(fill in the blank)!
Hilarious.
I don't know how people withOUT kids blog at all!
Pat
TOTALLY! And maybe no gymnastics...but 'something' hung from the middle of the bar! ;)
Haven't had that particular problem in our house. It's usually the toilet paper dispenser being ripped out of the wall.
Oh no! I hope you get the shower rod back up!
Have a wonderful weekend, and be sure to stop by my blog to see the latest post on picture frame ideas.
Xo,
E&J
Lets hope their dismount was a good one! ;)
I love you are looking at the bright side of this!
Looks like someone (or two) had a swingin good time! I hate drywall repair. And I always get the "you're going to blog about this aren't you?"
OOPs...Mom saw! I have become an expert at fixing what "nobody" breaks in this house! Have a great weekend!
Okay, that's funny...the rod, not that you now have another to-do item on your list. Isn't it impossible to have an empty to-do list? I must say that this post made me laugh. When I was little (2nd or 3rd grade) my friend and I were curling our hair, pretending to get ready for something...anyway, she started swinging from the towel rack and it pulled out of the wall. My eyes became huge in disbelief and then we told my mother that my brother did it! We still laugh about this episode til this day!
Too funny! I'm sure you will figure out a way to make this right!
How funny, Janell! I love it. When I was little I think a broke quite a few things and told my mom "I didn't do it"...always my famous line.
Something similar to this is happening to our towel bar in the bathroom! The To-Do list never ends (:
That is too funny! Not that the shower curtain rod broke but that you thought about a post for it! :) I love it! Yes, a true blogger! :)
(:
You have the right attitude, Ms. Janell!
Warm hugs, Mon

Too funny! I know what you mean...you never know when that moment will strike and it's an inspiration for a blog post!
Thanks SO much for including my guestroom on your "bloom" HOUZZ post!! You're so sweet!!
I adore all your design work, so I'm honored.
Have a great Sunday,
xoxo
This happens in our house when the kids sit on the edge of the tub, but get curtain under their butts and it ends up pulling down on the rod. LOL.
