Obviously I have Spring on my mind. This past week I had fun posing the question "Fake Flowers Anyone?" in a post and was entertained by many of your comments, including Mary who got right to the point: DON'T DO IT!!!
Whether or not you choose to bring these versions of flowers into your home, a little floral does go a long way in brightening up a home. Also, one doesn't need to be limited to actual flowers, including a dose of floral pattern in your design scheme can brighten a home with its happy pattern and color. And while I wait for Spring, perhaps some floral print will help.

Debbie Basnett - This floral arrangement definitely says "Spring" while also picking up on the floral drapes seen in the background.
To see more rooms which bring in Spring through floral prints all year long, read this week's Houzz Ideabook here.
Have a great weekend! Janell

There's definitely nothing like fresh flowers to make a home feel like spring is coming. Have a fabulous weekend!
put your flowers in the fridge at night so make them last a little longer and bring them back out in the morning...fresh flowers are so wonderful...

I am so ready for warmer weather and sunshine!!
Fresh is wonderful, but I do like dried flower arrangements too. Hugs, Marty
Fresh Flowers are a requirement in my home. I love them and I try to have a fresh bouquet every week. Now that we can purchase them at the grocery store we can all affford them. Love one single type of flower, it makes such a wonderful statement. I even use just greenery sometimes. I just love the real thing!!! Happy weekend and I hope you get a little sunshine!! Kathysue
I can be a little bossy. Sorry about that.
But really...please don't.
Spring in my backyard today! Wihoo! There is hope.
Fresh flowers here. And absolutely no dried ones (they look more than dead to me). But I have a very hard time keeping plants alive. Only white Orchids work at my house.
I am going to Portland end of this month. Are you going to be around?
Warm hugs to you,
Mon

Style at Home magazine features artificial flowers this month.. I'm really on the fence!
Loved your Houzz article! And I, too, adore fresh flowers. I nearly compulsively bought WAY too many flowers at the grocery store the other day ... the floral department was bursting at the seams for Valentine's Day!
Great post, my mom says fake is a definite NO, but opening a store and think I have to use fake once in a while? Tough choices.
Nothing like fresh flowers!!! They just make you smile!
Janell,
I'm SOOO far behind on reading blogs, that I just saw this and my heart lept, because this is the arrangement we did for a photo shoot of a space I did. The flowers were cut that morning from my sister's backyard. Thanks for your mention!
Fondly,
Debbie
Fresh flower is always wonderful!
