Getting Party Ready

If you follow me on facebook or twitter, you know after my husband and I fed our guests Thanksgiving dinner they were all put to work moving furniture. {Guest, beware...}

It wasn't a purely random act, there was a reason. At least temporarily the dining room, which up until now has housed the piano, has been converted into a...dining room. Brilliant, huh? The console that sat in the entry is now placed along the stairwell and set up as a bar for the weekend festivities, while a long table is in the process of being prepared to serve selections from the menu.

Then there is the most important question of what to wear! I pulled out the festive Kate Spade dress chosen for the Chicago wedding my husband and I attended last May. That was easy. There is usually a lot more drama around finding an outfit I'm happy with for an event. Doesn't the dress look pretty laid out on the settee? I just love having a place to lay out my clothing, and that color gives me an idea. When spring arrives I suspect I'll be making a few bright pillows to put in the bedroom!

Pin It!

Make sure you take pictures girl! I know everything is going to be and look great! And for some reason I saw you in chocolate and ivory and golds with a pop of color for the holidays. I guess you're just going with the POP!!! I still love the dress so you're going to look fabulous anyway;-)

Guests should always be put to work - they can get unruly, otherwise :)
Great dress, very pleased it's getting another outing!

what a gorgeous dress! and it does add a cheerful pop of colour on that settee - or maybe you should just hang it on its hanger from a pretty hook.. :)
