Stencil Happiness!

I have to say, I am feeling some stencil happiness! The wall turned out better than anticipated, adding a lot of interest and character to a wall that had not gotten much attention prior to this project.

The pattern is called Mirium, available from Whitewall & Company.

This project has inspired me to return and finish the space, after I complete the Master Bedroom Redesign in early fall. Tall cream drapery panels hung at the window and a new light fixture would really complete the look. See...I will most likely never be done with my house. Aren't you glad?!

Wow! I think you have just reconciled me to stencilling!! I still had that 80's image of friezes and borders, but this is great. Well done, your ideas seem to be faultless!

Looks fabulous! I just found your blog and I love it. Do you mind me asking what color/brand paint you used on your walls? I've been looking for the perfect gray and it's so hard to find. Thanks! :)

The stencils look awesome!!! I am definitely giving the company a look...might have to do a little stenciling in my own home.

Happy Monday!

This looks awesome. Who knew stencils had come so far! What are you going to do when you run out of rooms to re-create?

Karen@StrictlySimpleStyle said...

It looks even better than I imagined it would. I just love the way that you add special touches in small ways throughout your home.

Too bad the word "stencilling" has such a bad reputation, this one proves that it can be elegant, modern, hip and fresh! I love the way it gives that wall attention, like a piece of vintage jewelry!
As my Mom loves to say "It has Pizaz!"
You should be so very proud!

Stencilling is addicting. It's so easy and gives such a dramatic change without the commitment of wallpaper.

Gorgeous!!
I've been undecided on what I wanted to do with my stairway wall in my foyer...Its not nearly as large as yours but I'm gonna go for it!

Bri @Meyouandawienerdog said...

Looks great good thing that wall wasn't huge or you'd still be stenciling!

GORGEOUS! I love how stenciling is making a comeback in a cool, hip way. I have got to find a spot in my house to stencil...thanks for the inspiration!

Kathy @ Creative Home Expressions said...

I really like that, Janell! I love that it is a large pattern and really gives a good presence here. Something smaller would have been too wimpy in this area.

Perfect as always! Yes I am very glad you are not finished with your house! I so enjoy seeing all your projects.

To answer a few inquiries: the little table was found at Target, no longer available, the Freud Chaise is from Mitchell Gold, snagged it when this floor model went on sale. And paint colors, the wall is SW Quiver Tan and the accent is SW Universal Khaki. These paint colors are more tan that gray, a great gray is Sherwin Williams Amazing Gray! Take a look at that color...

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback! Janell
