Finally, last steps and final images of the message board. Really!

Wipe down.

Attach some awesome Ook Hardware...

...measure, nail, hang and write!

I love how the island looks blue in the below image...it really does read differently in every light and photo. In reality the color is more green, but would love this look as well!!

Next week will see me up in Isabella's and Max's bathroom, a room that has gotten zero attention to date. I'll be hanging the second message board there and start a few other projects to bring some function and style into that room. In the meantime, for more ideas on ways to use message boards in your home, look for my Houzz Ideabook tomorrow!

Wow, looks totally custom and fits perfectly with your kitchen. Love it. BTW, I pulled out my BM fan deck to look up one of the Robin's Egg blue islands I posted last week and the chip looks completely green....go figure.
Have a great weekend.

Nice job! The whole kitchen looks great!
Gorgeous!!!
My husband always says, "Honey I do not have a wood shop!" every time I say, "Let's build something." I asked him if he knew that Home Depot could do that part of the work for us and he looked horrified and said he had hoped I would never find that out! Now he knows I am going to put him to work...or at least put myself to work.
Thanks for the inspiration...as always. :)
GREAT job! Three cheers for you! It looks like it was just built into the house! I think you have a new career ahead as builder!
That's amazing! I saw your 'finished' post and thenscrolled down to see how you made it.I couldn't believe you put it together from bits of mdf; it looks really professional. You're a diy whizz!!

This chalkboard is perfection. it fits perfectly into your space. BTW, I LOVE your pendant lights.
Love this idea as the black chalkboard paint has been getting old. Can I inquire what your wall color is? I love the white frame with it and would love to do an accent wall with this color.
Thanks!
