Master Bedroom Redesign - A Couple Beauty Shots

Recently my time has been spent focusing on projects for which I am writing tutorials. As a result there has been no further progress on the Master Bedroom Redesign, since completing the Headboard Wall and Lamp Makeover projects. You think you are sad, what about me? I get reminded of it every night!

However, I did take a couple "beauty shots" for the articles and here there are.

The start of the headboard wall...

and the start of the lamp makeover.

The afters.

While the actual bedding and drapes for the bedroom still need to be determined and made, for now I've dressed the bed with things on hand and a pair of pillows picked up at Target. They went back after deciding the design was a bit busy on the "right" side of the pillow, but love the yellow in the room! This exercise of dressing the bed for photos gave me a very clear idea of what I want in new bedding. Once I complete all the other little projects I'm working on, I'll be back in the Master Bedroom finishing up this design!

Gasp... I still love that headboard! And those pillows...that is why I didn't buy them!

I can't wait to start on my room again! And take your time, I know that when you do finish the room, it will all be worth the wait!

It all looks great, and I still really love the scale of that headboard. Can't wait to see what you do with the bedding -- you're always fabulous with fabrics.

Sometimes it's good to take a bit of a break from a project -- it can give you time to mull things over and make thoughtful decisions...that said though, even I am anxious for you to get back to it. ;)

Do you have your mattress and boxspring on a basic metal bedframe? We're looking to create our own headboard and I'm trying to figure out what kind of bedframe will be best for it.

I found your headboard on Pinterest while researching DIY upholstered headboards. Yours is stunning - does NOT look "diy" AT ALL! I especially like the dimensional quality created as a result of the extra foam in the middle surrounded by the 1x4 frame, which is something I am after. Thanks for the meticulous instructions!
