The (Hybrid) Slipcover Project - Part 4 of 5

The finish line for these chairs is nearly in sight! Since the last chair post, the arm fronts have been covered with strips of fabric backed by a stiff interfacing and attached to the chairs with nail head trim.

Fabric covered buttons were also made and sewn onto the chairs.

The only remaining step is to cover the seat cushions. Once this task is finished, not only will the chairs be done but the Big Boy's Bedroom will be complete. And not a minute too soon. Someone in the house is wondering when his Home Office is going to get some attention...

These are coming along beautifully! Love how you have created an upholstered look with a slip cover design. The detalls are wonderful.

I can't tell you enough how amazing these chairs are. I would love to learn how to recover furniture but I'm afraid my sewing skills are like that of a 3 year old. One of these days I might get it right!

I cant believe you covered this yourself, you did just an amazing & professional job. Then again, I wouldn't expect anything less- anything you touch turns to gold!!

These chairs are looking fantastic. So glad you decided to go the reupholstering (or virtually so) route instead of slipcovering as the shape of these chairs is just too good to hide behind a bunch of fabric.
