It has been nearly a year and a half since I completed the Master Bath Redesign, and it is still a room that brings me complete joy and satisfaction when I step into it. There is nothing I would change, for now, and I love seeing this example of how you don't have to spend a fortune to give a room a striking transformation.
What do I love most? The gold accents. In the lighting, mirrors and accessories...all highlighted against the dark blue walls.
Yesterday the sun came out, inspiring me to open the shades. The sunlight lit up the room in such a beautiful way that I had to reach for the camera. These photos show the rich colors of the room in a way my previous photos of the bath have not, so I just had to share! I hope you enjoy...Janell

beautifully done!
I found your blog because of your amazing bathroom (found it on rate my space)! So glad I did!
Janel your bathroom is one I always go back to and wish I could be Samantha from Bewitched and wiggle my nose to get it! I would love to know the paint color because it really is fantastic!
I always go back through your blog too! Actually, the chandeliers in your bathroom is reason why I was okay with purchasing the chandelier for my bedroom! They look very similar! I'm glad I did too, because I LOVE it!!!
Janell you have such a beautiful home - I often visit for inspiration! xoxo
This is the first time I've seen those photos - definitely a room that makes you want to spend time in it. Gorgeous.
brilliantly done, gorgeous!
wow. i am speechless! gorgeous.
Gorgeous! I have got to talk my honey into a chandelier over the tub. Love it.
you should be very proud..its gorgeous XX
It's just beautiful. I love all the details.
I've been trying to find a chandelier for over my tub for the past week. I need something non electrical because I have can lights above. I'm thinking capiz or iron lantern. Just to make a statement. Any suggestions? I'm at a loss for window coverings that are stylish and give me privacy. I'm open for suggestions there too? Can't wait for your next update on the home office. It's my favorite. Besides the girl's room and Max's Ikea redo. OK, I love them all. Great work.
First time i saw this room where in the verge of renovating our masterbath since we had the same tile and shower i used it as an inspiration for the color, vanity and window blinds.
Definitely one of my favorite room in your house.
It really is stunning. I can see why you wouldn't change a thing. I love it too. Very pretty. Hugs, Marty
Love all the details.
Love it - the paint color is a bold choice and definitely pays off.
What a beautiful job you did. I am so loving the mirror and the sconces are to die for. Love the circle motif in both of these elements. I see you love Chanel No.5 also, my fav. Kathysue
Janell, I LOVE your bathroom...in fact, about 6 months ago I sent a picture of it to one of my girlfriends, that I always dicuss design with! My favorite part is the chandelier...in our next house I MUST have a chandelier in the bathroom!! SO glad you said the walls are dark blue...I can see it now, but before I always thought they were dark green! Beautiful.

I so love your bathroom. I shared your redo with my husband a while back to show him what small changes on a budget can do. It's on the list..but quite a ways down. ;)
Gorgeous! Love the dark blue walls!
very pretty! i love that mirror
Ya, I'm still in love with your bathroom too! ;)
It is so pretty, I would be in love as well! We have a layout that is almost the same. I would like to revamp the bathroom without spending a fortune. For now I have gel glazed the cabinets, Might have to take some ideas from you! Thanks for always getting my in trouble I mean inspiring me :) Have a wonderful Friday!
Take care
Kristin XO
No wonder you still love it - it's a beautiful space!
Great! on the pillow. Hope you can find one - I think they had them online last time I looked too. I bought a pair, and I have to say, I love them. The fabric would be pretty challenging to stain treat I think, which limits their use somewhat - but the fact that they're completely reversible won me over. I've been really happy with them!

To answer the paint color question:
The colors are Devine Color's Devine Storm with a wash of Devine Rain over the first color. I did this because the Storm was a bit too strong, but I'd already done all the work to paint the room so it seemed like a waste to completely paint over it. So I watered down the Rain paint color and applied it with a RL Linen Brush.

Wow, it's wonderful! I am sure you are deligted every time you step in. Love the beautiful mirror.
Yes, I would like to book a massage and one bath right away. Do you take art for barter?
Looks pretty dreamy to me. Do you lock yourself away there?

the blue is so rich! aside from your beautiful hardware/finishes do you think it played a part in making the room appear more "expensive."
I remember when you came on the RMS scene. Your bathroom redesign was amazing and so many people agreed. Thanks for the recap.
Hopefully I will start on mine...really soon.

Stunning.
Janell, your whole house is a dream!
And all the details in the bathroom are wonderful. The 2 things that I see with closed eyes are (always) the stunning wall sconces and the beautiful wall mirror. You make it all flow and work so well together!
Cyber hug + happy weekend!

That is such a soothing color for a master bath. Love that you went with a darker shade (and that you still like it!).
I like the color you chose for your bath area....so serene. I also like the LARGE windows... :))

Your bathroom is stunning! I would be hard pressed to leave it in the morning.
oh my goodness, this is absolutely beautiful! i LOVE that blue color and the fun patterned chair!
absolutely gorgeous! love the paint colour.
Absolutely love the chandelier above the tub -- and that you added a ceiling medallion! I must've missed this transformation when I was playing catch up on your blog earlier this year, but it's fantastic!
Beautiful! I am wondering....where did you purchase the gorgeous chandelier?
