Guest Blogging At Pure Style Home + Map Painting Progress

I always enjoy reading Lauren's blog, Pure Style Home, and what fun to be her guest blogger today. Check out her blog and my post here! Thanks for inviting me Lauren!

And as for the map painting progress in Max's bedroom...who is inspiring who?

"The Globe"

Outlines of Australia, New Zealand and surrounding islands were quickly painted.

I left to get some work done, returning an hour later to fill the areas in with paint.

Next, the states. I have a feeling this one is going to be a bit harder...

  5. It looks fabulous. My son wanted a room in an Australian theme so we bought several items one day at a flea market and now he has changed his mind--of course... now he wants boats and travelling like vintage boats--Christopher Columbus days---

I am letting everyone know that I have moved my blog to my new site www.itssoverycheri.com
I need to ask you, to please go over and RE-SIGN up to follow me over there. Google won't let you take your Followers with you so you are no longer getting my info in your reader, unless you have gone over and signed up. Sorry if you have already done so, I am trying to go back and forth between both blogs as well as my new e-mail and my old e-mail.
I have lots of fun things going on over at the new blog, so I hope you will hop on over and check it all out.

I also have a new give-a-way going on.

  8. This is such a great idea & looks terrific! I have a question if you have time: do you end up with a lot of chalk on the bedding/rugs/clothes, or is it manageable? I'm thinking of copying your idea in my playroom, but am a little intimidated by the potentia for extra laundry. Don't think I'm a neat freak--just a busy mom like you.

  14. I think the maps are a great idea, and the way you are executing the idea is very tasteful and fun at the same time. I'm sure you don't want to go TOO overboard on the map theme, but I just happened to run across this metal globe cutout at Target online today. Thought I'd share...:)
