My 2010 calender is starting to fill up with projects and plans! I'm beyond delighted. I love being involved in design and simply cannot imagine working in any other field, so counting my blessing with the arrival of this new year and the items filling the calendar!
For clients, I have several projects in the works. A bonus/media room design, a bathroom (one of my favorite rooms to work on), a master bedroom and a young girl's bedroom, a lower level of a gorgeous mid century home, and should the clients decide to move forward with the purchase, an urban Town House.
At my own home I have a few projects as well. Yes, there are a few rooms left to work on! The Home Office Redesign has several projects to tackle before it can be pronounced complete. The drapery fabric just arrived...gorgeous. I'll be making the panels and will post instructions on how to cut and sew drapery panels.
Afterwards I have a few projects to choose from. In the running is Max's room, The Master Bedroom, and the Powder Bath. Max has some strong ideas for his room, only to be expected after he saw Isabella and I work on her room! He can't get this cabin out of his mind (from Aunt Tam's store), and lately has talked a lot about wanting a Buddha in his room. Huh? This will be an interesting mix.

While I'm happy with its design, the Master Bedroom needs a couple fixes. It was the first room I put together after moving in, using items brought from our previous home's master bedroom. I like the result, HOWEVER...My son climbed into bed one night with a wad of SILLY PUTTY clenched in his fist. That stuff is lethal!! I woke up to the stuff stuck all over the duvet and sheets, staining them permanently. Then a couple weeks ago I bumped the clock, which tipped over and shattered one of the nightstand lamps. Shoot! And the rug is missing, it was moved into the family room when that space was redesigned, so...the bedroom is ready for a slight tune up.
Finally, there is space I really hope to work on, but I can't really talk about it yet. So, it is the Mystery Room. It will be the highlight of my year if I do indeed get to design this space! I'll obviously keep you posted...
And now...all the holiday decor has been taken down and the chairs moved to their latest homes. I'll show you the result of the chair makeover for Isabella's room tomorrow and the steps taken for it's little makeover.
Happy 2010! Janell

Can I stop what I'm doing with my master bedroom and copy everything you do to yours?! And I can't wait to see what you do to Max's room! A mistery room? Hmm...is it the laundry? I'm going to work on mine (well it's not a room, more like a closet!) when I finish the master.
***Quick question***

I had that same planner in my hand a couple days ago at Borders? Do you like? I was very close to buying it, but wanted something that could fit in my purse so I left it behind.
