On Monday, making pillows.
And then it is back to more projects scheduled for the
Home Office Redesign.
Refinishing this piece is on the to do list.
I have to admit, I'm trying to figure out how to delay
the start of this job.
Let's see what I find to occupy myself while I procrastinate.
Are there projects you are currently avoiding?

Looking good - can't wait to see the rest.
I tend to have a long list of tasks I avoid. Like organizing. But I've been avoiding touching up paint dings for the past two years but its really getting out of hand.
Awesome, Janell! All that cutting and hemming and backing was worth it!!! That room is coming together:)
They look great! You are motivating me to start working on my husband's office.
Procrastination? I am procrastinating on paying bills and pulling together tax info for our accountant. Reading design blogs is so much more fun!
First of all I LOVE your curtains!
Second I LOVE that piece of furniture!
Third Have an awesome weekend. I love your projects.

I love that piece just as it is , its perfect.
It looks beautiful! You did a great job. Can't wait to see the tutorial for pillows. So what size do you think is the best size for throw pillows on a couch? I see 16x16 a lot but that seems to small for my couch. Just wondering your thoughts on that.
Love your window treatments! Looks great. I desperately need some for my bedroom and have for two years, so I'd have to say that's what I'm procrastinating about, myself.
Looking fantastic, Janell! The drapes look great. I love that furniture piece! Storage pieces are always a great idea in a home office. Did you have a color in mind for it yet?
Yes, my living room coffee table. I was going to paint it black, but then I saw a project someone did on their bathroom cabinet using black stain and now I'm not sure which way to go. I have the paint, so that's in the paintings favor {my free quart of Glidden}. Plus, I still need to get foam rollers. So, yeah, that's my procrastinating story.
They look really good. It was fun to see them come together! Can't wait to see what you do with the piece!
They look beautiful in the room and you did a great job on them. That furniture piece? Awesome!
Hmmm... Procrastinating on projects. Too many to count. :-) Have a great weekend!
Everything looks wonderful! And the curtains are well 'trained'! Can't wait to see what you do with that fabulous piece of furniture.
The drapes are breathtaking...super job ~ you must be so proud of yourself!
I love that Just Beachy likes the piece just as it is, the idea of that saves me HOURS of labor!! But I know myself better...what color? Hum, I haven't even gotten that far yet, was thinking just an off white, but what endless possibilities to consider.
Don't you love how well the drapes were trained? Maintain nice folds when closed as well.
Janell
i'm on good terms with procrastination.
The drapes look great!! The wall color along with the drapes look amazing together.
I've been putting off tearing up our tile, didn't want to deal with the mess. Finally we are starting the project on Sat and laying new floors next Sat
we're refinishing out kitchen cabinets and I'm DREADING it!
Love the draperies, by the way!
Loving the curtains! And that cute piece...can't wait to see how it turns out!
Fan-tab-u-lous job! I'm trying to gear up to make 8 pr. of drapes for my sunroom windows but I'm sorta cheating. I'll be using white sheets and drop cloths (I'm the drop cloth queen) for a wide border at the bottom. I've been going over and over in my mind how to make all those babies line up perfectly at the bottom....I think I've got it figured out.
Great job and it looks gorgeous!

Oh my gosh Janell! Those are absolutely beautiful and well worth the time. I can't wait to see the room completed. That furniture piece is beautiful. I have about 8 projects half finished. I need to groud myself from starting a new one until these are finished.

So fab. LOVE their length and I adore that pattern. Be very proud ! Great tutorials too ! I am so procrastinting painting this buffet, but desperately needed a place to store books, so I suppose I'll be priming and painting this weekend. Not much else to do amid all this rain! Sunny skies, where are you ? Have a great weekend !
Looks great! Wow, and you are off to your next project. You amaze me!
xo,

They're gorgeous, the room looks stunning already just from the paint color, drapes and light fixture. Beautiful, and I hope you feel very proud!
Oh, Janell!!! I love them! I knew the would be great. I mean seriously, the fabric could have been tied around the rod and hanging on the floor and all I would see is that nice print!!!
as far as procrastinating....this room is kicking my butt! I had Dayka over last night for input, but I'm starting to regret the whole thing! I should done my laundry "closet" first!!!
have a great weekend Janell!
That piece is amazing! The curtains are beautiful! I just cleaned out the WHOLE laundry room, my dog found mouse droppings. I'm done for the day :)
The drapes are perfect ~ well trained :) Well, I can help you procrastinate ~ just stare at twitter for hours, that will do the trick. I do love the chest though and can't wait to see what you do!

Absolutely perfect! So, um...perfect. :-)
love the color of the walls!
so soothing.
OMG they look so perfect and lay so wonderfully. Great job Janell.
Janelle, I must tell you -- I am probably one of your biggest fans. You have a totally classy sense of style -- a combination of eclectic, traditional, and transitional pieces, with a WOW factor thrown in now and then (so much more challenging than "country" decor. I think that as a designer, you really "get" it! I appreciate your talent, expertise, and am always inspired by your marvelous sense of style in design.
Wow - these turned out GREAT! I find IKAT to be so unpredictable. It can look very flower child in a small swatch, and then very sophisticated in a large dose. That's the look you have going here. Love it.
They look so great, better then professional ones, they are just perfect!!
Those are gorgeous! And your light fixture is amazing, too!
Hello! Love the drapes and really love the cabinet. What an interesting piece! Your house is looking beautiful!
My Sista and I stalk this page! She will find something and tell me to go CHECK IT OUT! I would laugh because she copies any and everything. I so love what your doing. It is all coming together as well.
Hi Janell,
I just recently discovered your site and have been voraciously reading every post! Can I ask what the shades are on your windows (bamboo? seagrass?), and where you got them? I have looked at bamboo shades, but they all seem like they would block too make light out. Thanks in advance!
