Design Is In The Details, Change Of Plans Part 2

This is the Chair I have in mind, a streamlined Wing Back...

In this Fabric...

For this Spot...

Design is in the details.
Here are a couple of my favorite quotes from great designers
who knew what they were talking about!

“The details are not the details. They make the design.”
Charles Eames

“God is in the details.”
Mies van der Rohe

It is kind of amusing to me that I quote the designer of the chair
I am considering removing from the room!
I wonder what he would think!

Design quotes! So many good ones out there. I always like what Edward Tufte said as it is a good rule that you can apply to everything, "Good design is clear thinking made visible."

This always comes to mind when I approach a door with a handle and when you pull it you see that the door swings out and not in. Now that is bad design!

Thanks for sharing...

Works for me! I love this cahir. Perfect for a masculine space like your husbands office. And with a pop of color like the pillow in your favorite find of the week, it will be perfect! GET IT!

What true quotes!

I love the shape! It's modern but still references a traditional shape, which I do think will better suit the room than the very modern chair you'd first picked out. Also love the height of the back.

Can't wait to see how it all turns out!

Yep, I'd vote for that. And it sounds like you can manage it so you're not hugely out of pocket, either.

That's funny! I like the new chair and fabric you're going to use. And yes, design is in the details!

Ha! First I was going to say the room is going to feel too masculine to me. Then I realized the room was for your husband's office. It's perfect.

I love the back height of the chair. It looks incredibly comfy to sit back on.

I love the lines and shape of the chair and I think the fabric choice is excellent with the drapes as the backdrop. I can't wait to see it!
