Target Happiness

I was speeding through the aisles of Target yesterday, when something out of the corner of my eye stopped me in my tracks. A new supply of Victoria Hagan Designs.

First the Jamie Clock. I was so taken I suddenly realized a clock was on the shopping list for my new office. Yes, I was right. Look how great it looks in the room, and one must keep track of time.

Then, Catherine Lamp. It's back in stock! I first spotted this lamp at Target last spring while working on my Kitchen Redesign. I couldn't believe its quality, that base is glass not plastic. I purchased it, placed on my kitchen counter, and wrote a post about it.

Well, you should click over to that post and read the comments. One reader commented how she loved the lamp, "I'm on my way to Target right now." Next, another comment along the same lines. The resulting story goes to show it's a small world, and if you want this lamp you'd better head over to Target right now!

I just purchased a similar lamp for my living room redo, also from Target. I was actually thrilled to find a version of a lamp I was ready to spend four times as much on from Pottery Barn. The Target one is lucite, which in my house is a good thing because a glass or crystal table lamp could have a very limited life span! Now if only I had seen that clock-- LOVE it!! Your room is coming together just beautifully!

That lamp is great! I love that it is glass and visually doesn't take up much space!
By the way I just had handscraped hardwood floors installed in my LR/DR and love it! Wish it went into the kitchen and bathroom so that it flows instead of being broken up with a kitchen with tile floors. How do you like your hardwoods in your kitchen? I just worry about water on them in a kitchen, entry or bathroom. Any opinions?

Love that lamp! Target is definitely a go to place for me when I'm shopping. Never know what you'll find.

Thanks! I also tried to add links to both products, but they are not showing up on Target's website, yet anyway. I'll add them if I find them later.
Have a great day everyone!! Janell

That is a nice looking clock! Also like the glow of the lamp. They both fit into the exsiting decor very nicely....

LOVE both. And I'm annoyingly picky. Do you remember the prices, by chance, Janell?

Oh -- and did I read right that you're putting that lamp in the KITCHEN?! See what I mean about the unexpectedness? (Is that a word?)

Yes, the clock was $34.99, a bit steep I think. Usually I would watch for it to go on sale, but liked it so much I figured I'd just go for it. The lamp was priced at $49 last year, didn't catch the price yesterday (was focused on the clock!)

Also, I did end up changing the lampshade to a drum. It comes with a white tapered shade that looked too feminine and delicate for this location.

Thanks! Janell

Saw that lamp, tonight, actually! Couldn't get it though - had my hands full - found a drum shade someone returned so it was only $15 (a large one!) and found a really cute glass water pitcher. Think I'll run post on those right now, come to think of it! Thanks!

I feel like Target is one of those stores you have to keep a close eye on - sometimes when I go, I find nothing, and other times, woohoo! Maybe I need to figure out their delivery schedule. :)
Lovely clock and lamp.

Ssssssh. Come closer. *CG whispers* Sometimes Target makes me swoon.

A few months ago I found a sweet Lucite look acrylic lamp and this gorgeous mirrored tray. I heart your Target decor too.

Love the clock. I just saw that last week at my Target! We don't have the cool lamp though. :-)
