A Dressing Room For The Lady Of The House

It is Design Board Monday over at Room Remix, and I'm linking up my Dressing Room design. For this party each design board was required to use one of two elements selected by Pk, the Delilah Window Panel or the Lime Floral Garden Trellis fabric. I chose the fabric, using it for the roman shades and a framed message board.

This dressing room would be an absolute dream room for me...how about you? Can you even imagine having an entire room devoted to just such a purpose? It would have gorgeous built-ins to organize clothing and display favorite pieces, chic seating, glowing lights, fresh flowers, natural light and a mixture of fun patterns. It would, of course, be completely feminine because you most certainly would not be sharing this room with a husband. He would have his own, so you could go as girly as you wanted.

Janell - it's beautiful! I love the way the soft colors tone down the trellis fabric and the chevron rug is so fun. It's certainly my dream to have a dressing room that looks this pretty some day! :)

I like your mood board technique too which helps visualize it even more.

Gorgeous! Like Roechel, I like your program and the visual it provides. Now if only I could HAVE a dressing room like that. Thanks for partying with me!

Very pretty! If I had a dressing room like that, I'd hide in there all day and read in my Remy chair! Is there room for a mini fridge in the built-ins?

Yes, absolutely ~ I would love to have a dressing room like that! I love that chair, the chandelier and the ottoman ~ great place to sit after having been shopping {to fill that dressing room}!

Wow, I'm loving how we all took the same starting point and made totally different rooms!
I had never noticed that lovely accent table at Crate & Barrel and the Anthropologie chair is almost too fun to be legal :)

Great space. I love the rug, wish it came in black and white.

Really great mix of patterns - love the floral and the graphic combination (and that Adler frame!).

What a wonderful room. The only problem I see with it is that I wouldn't actually want to get dressed and leave it. I think I'd rather stay in my robe and sip a cup of tea. ;)

Hi, Janell! Love where you went with the inspiration fabric...this is a perfectly feminine, elegant, fun space...I would definitely not get frustrated with my wardrobe every night like I do now if I was getting dressed in here everyday!! What a great look and feel for the board itself as well, its so nice to see a mock up of the space. I would never have thought of a zebra rug, but that's probably exactly why it would be perfect;)

Thank you so much for coming over and checking out my blog and becoming a follower. What an honor for me, I've been a fan/stalker of your for awhile now! Can't wait to see how your office comes out. Thanks again and its great to finally "meet" you.

I love it! All the bold patterns and bright colors are just so fun. I also love that you chose elements that weren't so stereotypical "dressing room", which can still be glamorous without animal prints, satin or overt amounts of crystal!

I love how you used the fabric on the shade and on a bulletin board. It's really pretty.

Great job! I love how you combined the various prints as well- but have them all work together beautifully.

Great inspiration!

Late again!!! I love this! I wonder if my boys would let me change their playroom into this room! I'm sending you a picture of a mirror and it look almost identical to the one in this design, but I paid $5!
