Janell this is sooooo nice! I love the branches, pillows, lamps, all the candles, the whole room! By the way, katie at www.allbowerpower.wordpress.com is having a giveaway for some Thomas Paul pillows. Since you have such good luck, maybe you should try to win!

This definitely has the feel of a room that you could head of to and relax in, especially with the nice lighting and that Barcelona Chair. Another great job!

Thanks everyone!

Also, A THOMAS PAUL Giveaway?! Well, I headed right over there and entered.

And Lakeitha, your comment made me laugh...can you believe I won both prizes given out at a jewelry party last night?! A pair of earrings and a gorgeous cuff...everyone said I needed to go out and buy a lottery ticket next!

Stunning! You never cease to amaze with your creativity yet knowing how to find some moderate priced finds along the way. It is so restful and soothing. Love the birch branches leaning in the corner. Unexpected surprise with added texture.

I am so happy to have stumbled across your blog. You do amazing work!
Is that a khaki color on the wall? It looks that way, I never thought you could add accents of blue to it. I love it.

Also, I have a Queen size pillowtop mattress that sits high on a wood sleigh bed. Would you opt for a King Size duvet in my situation?

Isabella & Max Rooms said...

Thanks! The paint color is Behr Mocha Accent, it is a beautiful brown with green (yes...khaki) undertones.
Regarding duvet size, I personally like it when a duvet extends past the mattress to meet the bedframe, if the intent is to have the bedframe (wood or upholstered) show rather than covered up. Whether you select a queen or a king depends largerly on the height of your mattress and the measurements of the duvet, which seem to vary in size somewhat these days! I'd take the measurement from where you want the duvet to end on one size of the bed, measure over the top of the mattress and down the other side and compare to the measurements of the specific duvet.
Was that clear?! Thanks for asking and good luck!
