Can we really be entering the second week of July, already? If the Girl's Dream Bedroom is to be completed by the end of summer, I'd better step up the pace!
So today a quick round of shopping, for a desk to be placed at the foot of the bed, was in order. I asked Isabella if she wanted to join me, but apparently she has learned the benefit of having a designer working on her project. "No, could you just take pictures and then show me the choices?" Smart girl.
The first order of business, a quick look online to see what various children's furniture makers are offering. Koo Koo Bear Kids carries Young American By Stanley. The 'My Haven Activity Desk', shown above, is available in some absolutely great colors. The BIG downside is the price of $679.00! Ouch! Next...
For price, a visit to HomeGoods can't be beat! This desk is perfect at $99.00, but the color is wrong for the room and there is some damage. It could be refinished, but I really hope to find a desk with one long drawer divided up into compartments for pencils, paper and art supplies.

Last stop, Target. Their South Hampton Desk appeared well made and with a price of $154.99 it is very affordable. Though at 47" long it's a bit large for the space.
Time's up for this shopping trip. I'll show the pictures to Isabella and see if we are in agreement on which desk is best!

Either the HomeGoods table depending on how bad the damage is or the crate and barrel desk. I just realized that Isabella's room is looking better than mine! JEALOUS!!!
Yes, mine as well! Janell
I would go with the second table with the room you already have set up. Don't be afraid to add lots of colors, and the room will look amazing.
Keep me posted
